Team Z Baby Shower

What a perfect day! Baby girl was showered to the max with love last week! We chose to combine my 30th birthday weekend with the shower since I was also 30 weeks! I couldn’t have pictured a better way to celebrate my 30th birthday!

Zarin and I would like to thank our dear friends, the Salgado’s, and our families who helped us with the shower. A special shout out to one of my oldest friends, Kelie, for putting hours and hours into prep and planning for the big day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! To all our friends that helped us celebrate, thank you! Our baby is already so loved and we are so happy to share this experience with you all!

Decor

Anyone who knows me, knows I am obsessed with flowers and love gardening. So naturally, I dreamed of having a garden vibe baby shower with flowers and greenery everywhere. Fun fact: the drapes pictured below are actually from our wedding day!

Cake

Kelie surprised us with the most beautiful and classic cake. A simple white cake that she jazzed up with florals and a super cute ‘Oh Baby’ cake topper. Loved it!

DIY Stations

We had stations set up for our friends and family to create something special for baby girl including onesie, bib, and wooden block stations. We also had a ‘What Will Baby Sells Look Like” station. Zarin and I took close up photos of our faces and then cut out each feature (eyes, nose, lips, etc.) Our guests then mixed up the features and put them together to get an idea of what baby girl might look like. Let’s just say the results were interesting. Definitely putting them in her baby book to laugh about when she gets older.

Guest Book

I wanted something personalized for baby girl’s nursery. I found this guest book idea on Pinterest and ran with my own version. I water colored the little elephant, used some craft string I had, and found the frame at Goodwill. Then, I water colored a few sheets of special water color paper with colors to compliment the nursery. I cut out different sized circles for the balloons and had guests write messages to our baby during the shower. I just love how it turned out and I can’t wait to see it hanging in her nursery.
